I use "Measure Peaks and Shapes" to measure peak current amplitudes of ligand-gated ionic currents. Sometimes the values are returned as pAs (for example, 150 pAs), and sometimes the values are returned as nAs (for example, 0.15 nA). Because I cut and paste these values to IGOR, the  inconsistency in the units between traces causes me problems. It would be nice if the user could determine if the returned values are reported as pAs, nAs, microA, or whatever.

AxoGraph returns amplitude values in the currently displayed units (in your case pA or nA). You can change the units of the results by changing the y-axis range before applying the measurement.

When AxoGraph reads in text data, it can deal with a column header that includes the measurement units. It's a shame that Igor does not do the same, otherwise you would not have encountered this problem.
